Bernd Trasberger asked me to design a letterhead and a bussines card. The basis logo consist of his initials, BT, written in blackletter pixels on an isometric grid. Since most of his communication concerns sending pdf’s in e-mails, and hardly any of it is actually sent by analogue mail, I created a workflow that generates random cmy values for the logo, always putting at least one plate on 100%. For the grey values at least one path of the logo should be 100% black. By using this digital template for communication, a consistent layout is guaranteed, but still every publication is different.

Identity design for ‘Het fonds van Weduwen en Wezen van Kunstenaarsleden der Maatschappij Arti et Amicitiea‘. An artist society in Amsterdam founded in 1839. Members are obliged to contribute to their private social security fund. In case of illness or other unforeseen circumstances that cause financial trouble, the fund can support the artist for a certain period of time.

Saint Luke, patron saint of artists, physicians and  surgeons has been depicted many times throughout history, acompanied by a winged ox. The ox has also been part of Arti’s own logo since their founding back in 1838.

Invitation design for the annual European Exchange Academy final exhibition talking place in Beelitz, Germany. The title is set in overlapping transparent strokes, creating darker ‘crossing points’ on the places they intersect. These crossing points write the words ‘crossing points’ again. Designed for mailings but because of their modular design, also suitable for covering larger spaces of wall creating endless patterns of crossing points.

Submission for the publication ‘140 hits in art‘ containing 140 alternative album covers by different designers. This digital collage is made of scanned, painted pieces of paper and Based on the song ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley & The Wailers.

Logo and business cards for an Amsterdam based printed promotion distribution company. All elements are based on the A-ratio that flyers or posters have. The three crosses in the mark refer to the Amsterdam coat of arms as well as the changing images they distribute. The right corner of the card has been cut of so they actually hand over a piece of their logo.
