I placed this incomplete Nike billboard in former east Germany next to a tuberculosis clinic that was built for the patients of Berlin. The park surrounding it was specially designed to have a large variety of trees to provide the patients with the cleanest air possible. After WWII, the clinic served as a Soviet military hospital. The Russians left when the wall came down and didn’t take anything with them except their bare necessities, so the place is still full of communistic, cyrillic signs.
