I placed this incomplete Nike billboard in former east Germany next to a tuberculosis clinic that was built for the patients of Berlin. The park surrounding it was specially designed to have a large variety of trees to provide the patients with the cleanest air possible. After WWII, the clinic served as a Soviet military hospital. The Russians left when the wall came down and didn’t clean up anything, so the place is still crowded with communistic, cyrillic signs.
